Charlotte Brändström will direct episodes of The Lord of the Rings

Charlotte Brändström (The Witcher) will be part of the production process of The Lord of the Rings. She'll direct two episodes.

Charlotte Brändström joins direcot Wayne Che Yip. He will direct four episodes. Brändström will direct two episodes. Even though only the first season has entered production, a second season is pretty much guaranteed. The series was already renewed with its second season back in 2019. It is not yet known when the first season is set to premiere.

The Lord of the Rings takes place in the Second Age. This means that between this series and the movie franchise with the same name, there will be approximately 3000 years of time difference. The majority of the cast was announced back in January 2020 and December 2020. Joseph Mawle (Game of Thrones) will portray one of the lead characters in the The Lord of the Rings series.
