The Walking Dead is een Amerikaanse horrorserie van de zender AMC. De serie ging in première op 31 oktober 2010.
The Walking Dead vertelt het verhaal van de nasleep van een zombie apocalyps en volgt een kleine groep overlevenden dat reist door de Verenigde Staten opzoek naar een nieuw thuis, weg van de hordes zombies. De groep wordt geleid door Rick Grimes, die een politieagent was in de oude wereld. Aangezien de situatie alleen maar erger wordt, wordt het er niet beter op in de groep en doen ze er alles aan om te overleven.

Seizoen 5 blijft het niveau vasthouden, doen ze fantastisch. Laatste aflevering was erg goed, en het lijkt me sterk dat de laatste twee afleveringen het niveau laten dalen. Wanneer ze dat ook daadwerkelijk niet doen, kunnen we stellen dat seizoen 5 het beste seizoen tot nu toe is.

Gruesome series. Started a little less for me but only got better. I advise everyone to also read the walking dead graphic novel. It is nice to recognize things in the TV series, think that you know what is going to happen and then (usually) still be surprised. Alexandria has a lot in store for you! Believe me. Season 5: Started off strong with the Terminus storyline, but as the midseason finale approached it got less and less. I found the midseason finale disappointing, an excuse to write Beth out of the story and let Noah join in. The first two episodes of the second half looked exhausting but the rest of the episodes and the Alexandria storyline were very strong. These episodes in particular followed the comics very faithfully in a good way (I think it is then again that they did not write Heath, Scott and Denise in the series). Bring on Season 6!
