The Good Place

Quite a nice series. Season 1 was copied fairly quickly on Netflix. Nice cliffhanger so I'm going to check out S2 too. Giving is absurd and therefore leaves a lot of room for crazy situations. Not all episodes are equally strong and I cannot save more than 2 episodes in a row. Now that S2 is released every week, it will remain fun. Ted Danson (Cheers / CSI) always plays well, again and again and the chemistry between him and Kirsten Bell is very evident. The rest of the cast is also doing well although I have the feeling that they still have to grow in their role. S2 will have to prove whether the series will be a success. Incidentally, I think it is a typical women's series.

When someone dies, a balanced but complicated formula based on what one has performed during life determines what will happen to him or her next. The people who die with an extremely good score go to "The Good Place", others end up in "The Bad Place", although no one else knows exactly what all this entails. "The Good Place" is divided into areas where exactly 322 people live, each of which is her or his "soul mate" and each part is designed and furnished exactly as its residents dreamed in real life. Furthermore, everyone can get whatever they want and it is impossible to swear for example. In real life, Eleanor Shellstrop was a lawyer who exonerated innocent people, worked for many charities and you name it. When Eleanor dies she is escorted to her part of "The Good Place" where she comes to live in a small house, unlike her neighbors, decorated in a sleek Icelandic style with an abundance of paintings of clowns on the walls, according to her wishes. There is a big but; Someone made an administrative mistake somewhere because this Eleanor Shellstrop (Kirsten Bell) sold counterfeit medicine to the sick and elders in real life, like a Templar, cursed like a heretic, hated clowns and didn't like little houses or Icelandic interior decoration. Even so, Eleanor soon decides to stay where she is after making her "soul mate" promise he would never turn on her and then informs him of the mistake that was made. Her presence, however, disrupts the "natural balance" that prevails in "The Good Place" and causes the necessary consequences. Ready to do anything to be able to stay anyway, Eleanor decides to learn how to become a better person, although things don't go smoothly either. Based on the double pilot episode, a series for the whole family and a nice snack.
