x-on:winthoos It's not just something against Natalie Martinez, the one who plays Linda. At least I don't think she can act well. That firstly.. Secondly, the character is really boring. They've put her in such a way that she has to play the boss, but when you see her, everyone ignores her and she has absolutely no control. Unlike Barbie and Big Jim who are listened to. She just doesn't seem believable. Anyway, it will largely depend on how the producers and writers have portrayed the character.

This was such an episode that I wonder why I'm still following the series .. Everything is just so badly put together. The acting is really down to earth. unbelievable. And yet this series makes me laugh so hard. Although I do laugh at the series, instead of at it.

Disappointing series, I would stick to the book. It was fun to read, with a better story. I would also recommend that to people who have seen the series, there are quite a few plot twists in the book that were not in the series.

The first 2 eps were exciting and good but after each subsequent episode level got less and less and boring. I read the book and it was a great book, maybe the best I've read. Of everything that happened in the book, maybe only 20% can be seen in the series. Still don't believe Stephen King has endorsed this series. I don't know if I'll continue to follow Under The Dome.

In just under 2 months, season 3 will finally be here! Unlike a lot of people here, I love Under the Dome. Maybe also because I think Stephen King is a great writer too. Not his best work, I admit, but imo that is really not because of the story as such, but because of the acting - which was disappointing to me from the start. His films seem much better put together. I agree that the series sometimes comes across as rather adolescent, but that is also when the adolescents are being followed and actually it should be a bit like that. I also think that heavier scenes should be filmed with more blood and gore. But as I said, the execution of the story is a bit disappointing, I had higher expectations of Stephen King. Now I am actually criticizing a lot, but that does not mean that I do not think it is a series that looks away easily, has a strong story, and of which I am very curious about the sequel.

That has nothing to do with King, but with the director who gives his own insight into it. And he can only make do with the oars he has.

Free speech is ok. Of course you can give your opinion. However, do not be angry if free speech is also given in return. It would also all be easier to read, if you just wrote with periods and commas, as we (almost) all do here.

It's already starting to collapse. Episodes 2 and 3 were particularly weak and didn't deal with what it should be about at all. Where's the panic, why don't people seem to care, why do the makers keep highlighting the most uninteresting aspects and giving the most dead characters screen time? Why are most of the characters so pale? Under the Dome has a lot of work to do if this series doesn't want to collapse completely.

Saw the last episode yesterday. Find it a bit disappointing. For me, the series started well/exciting and then got less and less towards the end.

Although the names of Stephen King and Steven Spielberg are associated with this series, the first season of Under the Dome has been a big disappointment for me. All the action is pretty much in the first episode as the dome descends on the small town. After that, the story revolves around the mutual intrigues of a limited number of characters in this series. And as the episodes follow, that becomes less and less interesting. Furthermore, the acting is indeed quite mediocre, as has often been said. In some scenes it seems like I'm even watching a children's series. And then the special effects. They are really too bad for words. I don't need that second season anymore. The only thing that sucks is that they have ensured that no matter how mediocre the series is, you are still curious about the sequel. This is because of a cliffhanger that clearly screams for an ending!

Voslex: you think it's a good series and that's okay. That's also the nice thing about a site like Mijnserie: we can all talk about series and agree with each other, or not. Under the Dome was certainly intriguing at times, but a very strong story; No, not that. Before that, there were fundamental things wrong with the scripts, the character development, the continuity, the logic, the actors' performance, and also in the build and progression of the series. For example, what you say about Joe is certainly correct and I could name 10 more, and probably more examples from memory. A season finale has traditionally served a number of functions, namely: ending the main storylines of the season, putting things in perspective, setting the stage for the second season, and answering important questions it has posed in the season. And as a rule, a season finale usually has to answer more questions than it answers. And the season finale, as far as I'm concerned, didn't succeed at all. And so the season finale ended a very mediocre season that was far too much to criticize. I tip Under the Dome, along with The Following, on many critics' year-end lists as one of the worst, or most disappointing, series of the year.

Hehe, finally back to the last episode. What a birth! Don't expect a 3rd season. And before everyone yells "don't look," Under the Dome is like a gigantic traffic accident: no matter how bloody, dramatic, life-threatening or horrific the accident is, you can't take your eyes off it.

Ha ha, and let me see an interview with Julia in which she gives the impression that there is a 3rd season! In thought it was a strange ending, I looked back at the ending: Julia, Junior and Dad are the last ones left. That could be a cliff hanger, but I myself had the idea that it was cut. Hopefully NOT to be continued :).
