Bates Motel will remain open

‘Bates Motel’ will remain open for a third season. A&E has renewed the psychological drama series for a ten-episode third season.

“The incredible writing team and talented ‘Bates Motel’ cast has made this series one of the most compelling original dramas on television,” said A&E Executive Vice President and General Manager David McKillop in a statement. “The brilliant twists and turns of the past two seasons keep its loyal fan base coming back for more. We are so proud of the show.”

‘Bates Motel’ season two premiere had 4.6 million viewers. The average of season two is 2.33 million viewers. This is 15% less than season one.

Season three will start its production this fall, while season two will end on May 5th.
