Which series will not return in the 2021-2022 season

Down below, you'll find a list of all the series that have been cancelled or are scheduled to end and will thus not return for the upcoming 2021-2022 season.
2020 will probably be one of the weirdest years ever, especially if you take series and movies into mind. It is the year that resulted in an abrupt ending for various series due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Seasons were unfinished and some series didn't end the way they were supposed to.

But the thing that isn't strange, is the cancellation of series, justified or not. This year, various series have been cancelled as well or they are scheduled to end and the last remaining episodes will air in this season.

Down below, you'll find a list* in alphabetic order, which contains the series about which something is known regarding a cancellation;

- After Life (Netflix)
Ricky Gervais' dark comedy about a grieving widower was renewed for its final third season.

- Atypical (Netflix)
The dramedy about the autistic teen and his family has been renewed for its final fourth season.

- Away (Netflix)
The drama series that revolves around future astronauts who are leaving for Mars has been cancelled by Netflix. It only had one season.

- Baroness von Sketch Show (CBC)
The Canadian comedy series will still air till December 2020, but that will be the final month for the series.

- Better Call Saul (AMC)
Opinions about this prequel are still mixed, but one thing is for certain; the sixth season will be the final one.

- Bosch (Amazon)
The detective series based on Michael Connelly's books has been renewed for its final seventh season.

- Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix)
Based on the Archie comics with the same name, this supernatural series has been cancelled after four parts/two seasons. It'll have 36 episodes in total.

- Connecting... (NBC)
The series that was recorded with distance in mind was removed from the schedule after four episodes. The remaining episodes will only be available online.

- Doc Martin (ITV1)
The British dramedy has been renewed for a tenth season, but after that, Martin Clunes will be able to put away Martin Ellingham's doctor's coat.

- Drunk History (Comedy Central)
The educational comedy series was renewed with a seventh and final season. Due to the corona countermeasures production on the seventh season has been stopped. It will not be continued.

- F is for Family (Netflix)
The adult animated series has been renewed with a final fifth season.

- Filthy Rich (US) (FOX)
The drama series about a family that is involved in a religious network could have used some divine intervention. It was cancelled after only five episodes had aired. FOX has revealed that the entire first season will still air at some point.

- GLOW (Netflix)
The wrestling ladies weren't able to socially distance. The corona countermeasures put a stop to the sports dramedy, which was based on real events. The previously announced fourth season was cancelled during production.

- Grace and Frankie (Netflix)
The ending of the Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin series is getting nearer. The comedy series will end with its seventh season.

- I'm Sorry (TruTV)
The comedy series was scheduled to receive a third season. Due to the corona countermeasures, this series has been cancelled.

- Judge Judy (syndicated)
The 25th season will be the final season for judge Judy Sheindlin. But don't be sad, she will come back with a new series; Judy Justice.

- Keeping Up with the Kardashians (E!)
You no longer have to keep up. The long-running reality programme will end with its twentieth season.

- L.A.'s Finest (Spectrum)
Spectrum has cancelled the crime series that features Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba after two seasons.

- Last Man Standing (FOX)
The comedy series featuring Tim Allen first ran on ABC. Starting from its seventh season, the series was part of FOX. The ninth season is scheduled to be the series final.

- Lost in Space (2018) (Netflix)
The streaming service has renewed the science fiction reboot with a final third season.

- Lucifer (Netflix)
The king of hell has a tiny angel on his shoulder. The series has been revived multiple times. As it stands now, the scheduled sixth season will really be the final one.

- neXt (2020) (FOX)
There will be no next season for the FOX science fiction series. It was supposed to be released in the summer but was delayed to fall due to the pandemic. It didn't have a whole lot of viewers and was thus cancelled after three episodes. The remaining episodes will still air at some point.

- On Becoming A God In Central Florida (Showtime)
The dramedy was renewed with a second season, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the series has been cancelled.

- Ozark (Netflix)
Money laundering can be done everywhere, and the Byrde family knows all about that. But the fourth season will end the series and hopefully the problems of the Byrdes as well.

- Shameless (US) (Showtime)
The dramedy that focuses on the life of the Gallagher family has been going on since 2011. The series will have an eleventh season to wrap things up nicely.

- The Society (Netflix)
The second season had already been ordered. Just like many other series on this list, Covid-19 entered the fray. The first season has been deemed the final of the science fiction series.

- The Spanish Princess (Starz)
The historical drama series will receive a proper and natural ending with its second season.

- Stumptown (ABC)
This crime series has also become a victim of the corona countermeasures. The second season was ordered by the alphabet network, but that decision has been reverted.

- Supergirl (The CW)
Kara from Krypton will be fighting crime for only one more year. After six seasons of flying, being a superhero and a lot of drama, it has been enough.

- The Third Day (HBO)
HBO's limited series will remain a limited series. It ends with six episodes and a special.

- Tosh.0 (Comedy Central)
The series had been renewed up until 2024, but this decision was changed. The twelfth season will be the final one.

- Wife Swap (2019) (Paramount)
The reality programme was at first available on ABC. They cancelled it and Paramount decided to revive the series that lets two women swap families. After two seasons, it is officially over.

* Naturally, we could have missed something. Let us know in the reactions. Keep in mind, this list involves series that have aired from September 2020 up until August 2021 or are currently airing and will not return for 2021-2022 (September 2021 - August 2022).
